When a brand changes, every sign at the site needs a decision: replace, adapt or remove. Metroplus plans and delivers the changeover around your operations.
Start with what is installed
A rebrand can affect fascia signs, entrance identities, directories, interior messages and illuminated displays. Begin with a record of the existing signs and the new brand requirements. Photographs, dimensions, mounting details and available drawings help identify what needs replacement and what may be suitable for further assessment.
Coordinate removal and installation
The scope should address removal, retained surfaces, electrical interfaces, access and any making good. A programme for an occupied location also needs to account for opening hours, landlord requirements and the sequence in which old branding is removed and new branding becomes visible. Reuse should be assessed against condition and compatibility rather than assumed from appearance.

Our site teams

Prepare the changeover brief
Send the existing sign list, site photographs, new artwork and target changeover date. Identify any locations that must stay operational throughout the work. Metroplus can review the proposed package and clarify the information needed to scope fabrication and installation. Approval responsibilities, disposal and reinstatement should be expressly included or excluded in the proposal.
- Existing locations and approximate sign count
- Operating hours and access restrictions
- Target changeover date
- New brand files
- Removal and making-good requirements
Translate the new identity into buildable signs
Review artwork, colours, proportions and lighting appearance through the proposed materials. Identify changes in dimensions or mounting positions that may affect supports and surrounding finishes. Approve a representative sample where the finished appearance is important, particularly when several locations must achieve the same visual standard.
Agree removal and reinstatement responsibilities
The proposal should identify who isolates electrical supplies, removes the old sign and addresses affected surfaces. Clarify access equipment, permits, waste handling and any temporary branding. Reuse of frames, wiring or other components should follow an assessment of suitability rather than an assumption that all existing provisions can remain.
Manage the changeover across operating sites
Plan the sequence around opening hours, landlord restrictions and the required launch date. For multiple locations, keep a register of site variations, approved artwork and completion status. Photograph the completed installation and retain the new sign references so later repairs or additions follow the updated identity.
Questions
What should I send for a rebranding quote?
A list of existing signs with photographs, approximate sizes, the new brand files, the locations involved and the date the new identity needs to be visible.
Is removal and disposal of old signs included?
Only where it is written into the proposal. Removal, disposal, making good and landlord approvals are listed as included or excluded so the scope is clear.
Can an existing sign frame be reused?
Possibly, subject to its condition, geometry and suitability for the new design. Confirm reuse only after the relevant checks.
Can the change happen outside business hours?
Out-of-hours work can be considered where access, staffing and site permissions allow. Confirm the arrangement in the proposal.
