A useful signage submission lets the consultant compare the proposed design, materials, lighting and installation method without reconstructing the specification from separate emails. Use this template pack to organise the sign schedule, material references, controls, warranty questions and handover requirements in one consistent format.
Start with the sign ID, location and approved drawing revision. Add the face and finish, illumination components, mounting method, access arrangement and the documents needed for review. Record unresolved items explicitly so that assumptions are agreed before manufacture. The templates support your project workflow; the consultant and relevant authority determine the final submission requirements.
What the pack contains
- Sign schedule: one row per sign type and location
- BOQ: quantities and rates with an amount formula
- Material submittal: material, finish and supplier references
- Control schedule: lighting control and power points
- Warranty checklist: questions to confirm for the project
- Handover index: documents to issue at completion
Blank templates, revision date 17 October 2026. Read the Read me sheet first.

For the reasoning behind each schedule, read the signage tender BOQ checklist and signage schedules for architects. Warranty terms are confirmed per project; see the signage warranty page.
What belongs in a signage handover pack
A handover pack should help the operating team identify, maintain and replace the installed signage. Include an agreed sign register, relevant as-built drawings, approved finishes, component references, care instructions and the written warranty information.
- Sign register with locations and sign IDs
- As-built drawings and approved artwork revisions
- Approved finishes and component references
- Care instructions and the written warranty schedule
- Access arrangements and the route for service requests
The final pack should reflect the supplied scope; it should not include generic documents that describe a different assembly. Agree the required handover information before manufacture so the records can be collected throughout the project.
