Retail and hospitality brands choosing an illuminated display have three common formats to pick from: fabric-faced lightboxes, rigid acrylic lightboxes and framed LED cabinets. Each suits a different depth, brightness and graphic-change frequency requirement.

A tensioned fabric graphic is stretched over an LED-lit frame. Fabric lightboxes are slim, lightweight and give an even, seamless glow across large graphics, which makes them well suited to hanging displays, mall backdrops and large-format storefront graphics. Graphics can be swapped by unzipping and refitting the fabric skin without replacing the frame, which suits brands that refresh campaigns often. See Hanging Visuals & Lightboxes for examples.
A printed or vinyl graphic sits behind a rigid acrylic face, front-lit or edge-lit from an internal LED source. Acrylic lightboxes give a harder, more defined edge and a glossy, retail-shopfront look, and suit smaller storefront signs, menu boards and wall-mounted displays where durability and a premium finish matter more than swap frequency.
Where content needs to change frequently or include motion, a digital LED cabinet or screen replaces a static lightbox entirely, trading a fixed graphic for a content management system. This suits promotional displays, digital menu boards and any location where messaging changes daily rather than seasonally — see Digital Menu Boards and Digital Signage Solutions.
